Popular with Ballymena folk for the perfect place to have fish and chips, the quiet harbour has now been turned into one of the sets from the award winning show.

Cast and crew have been filming for the sixth series in the harbour all this week, with star Maisie Williams- who plays Arya Stark- braving the cold waters for her scene.

Carnlough Harbour is famous for the New Year swim and on Monday it was the 18-year-old star taking the plunge.

Game of Thrones has been filming in various locations across Northern Ireland for a number of years, with many spots becoming popular tourist attractions after appearing in the show.

During filming for the first season, a hill near Slemish was transformed into a Dothraki campsite, while calls have been made by councillors to make the Ice Wall in Magheramorne Quarry a permanent attraction.
