Knock out ratings for UTV!
In the week leading up to Saturday’s bout, UTV Sports correspondent Ruth Gorman was in El Paso to bring viewers daily updates on Frampton’s every preparation ahead of what would prove a testing and enduring 12 rounds for the Belfast born boxer.
Michael Wilson, Managing Director UTV, said:
“The Frampton fight attracted an average audience of 292,000 and a share of 54%. With a peak audience of 381,000 viewers and share of 69% it meant two thirds of viewers in Northern Ireland were tuned in to UTV to watch the local boxer beat opponent Alejandro Gonzalez Junior.
