Organised by the Police and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), the ‘Bee Safe’ event is a safety learning initiative, which helps primary six and primary seven pupils gain vital knowledge on how to implement good safety habits, deal with hazards and how to avoid dangerous everyday situations.
Members of the PSNI, NI Fire and Rescue Service, Translink, NI Railways, Northern Ireland Electricity Networks and the council home safety team all delivered fun and informative interactive workshops promoting personal and home safety during the event, which took place in Brownstown Community Centre.
The pupils took part in quizzes, watched fire safety demonstrations and learnt about internet safety throughout the day.
