“I appeal for calm in the area [and] anyone who has any information to come forward to police.”
The incident, which was reported to police on Monday, July 6, is being treated as both a theft and a hate crime by the force.

“Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone with any information to contact officers at Cookstown on the number 101... or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
