Breathe Easy Causeway presentations
Presentations of two cheques represented how Breathe Easy uses voluntary donations and how much they appreciated the commitment and enterprise of those raising money. Breathe Easy Chairperson, Margaret Henry, handed over a cheque for £1,500 to Catherine Skeet, Co-ordinator, Home Divisional Team, NHSST. The money will be used to purchase specialist equipment to help detect veins in people who have difficulty in giving blood samples.
Breathe Easy itself then was the recipient of a cheque for £660, the proceeds of a summer BBQ organised by Betty Calvert, of Windy Hall Road, Coleraine. This is the ninth year in succession that Betty has raised money for Breathe Easy causes.

At the same time it is important to show to the general public where their money goes – supporting lung disease research and going to the necessary immediate help of those most in need.”
Finally, members had an intriguing experience of the works of local author, Dr Noel Davidson. Dr Davidson, a retired headmaster, has written 30 books in the last 20 years, mainly Christian biographies. Dr Davidson, formerly of Ballymoney, has travelled world-wide to research and write books which tell how many people have found their Christian faith a source of strength as they battle serious illness and drug addiction.
