Hide AdUSPCA spokesperson confirmed that the snakes were ‘being kept in a safe place and being well looked after’.
He continued: “Corn snakes are not poisonous and posed no danger to the police and USPCA officers involved in the operation in Mosside.
“Corn snakes come in all different colours and do not grow very big. They are normally kept in an aquarium.”
A police spokesperson added: “We believe the owner of the snakes left them behind after moving house. It was the keyholder who found the creatures.”
It is understood that the snakes may have been in the property alone for sometime.
