Council hosting Biodiversity Summer Schools
The sessions aim to inspire local residents to discover more about the incredible species and habitats on their doorstep.
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Audrey Wales said: “The Biodiversity Summer School has been running successfully in Diamond Jubilee Wood, Whitehead for four years.”

Hide AdThis year, the local authority has extended the fun to include Carnfunnock Country Park, Larne and Ecos Nature Park, Ballymena.
“It gives families the opportunity to take part in fun biodiversity projects such as pond dipping, mini-beast hunts and nest box building.
“There is no need to book - just turn up to take part whatever your age.”
The events will run every weekday morning from 11am to 1pm.
