Hide AdDUP Councillor Darren Causby proposed an additional spend of £150,000 which will be explored in September.
Council has also pledged to look at rural areas that don’t have play parks, including Aghagallon, championed by SDLP Councillor Joe Nelson.
DUP Councillor Mark Baxter is pushing for an upgrade to play areas in Waringstown and Donaghcloney.
