Patrols conducted in Cave Hill area after people attempt to enter Belfast Zoo
and live on Freeview channel 276
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Concerns have been raised after persons have attempted to enter the zoo as well as throw rubbish and bottles over the fences into enclosures.
“This evening (February 20) officers found a number of young people along the Cave Hill path behind the zoo.

Hide Ad“Speaking to the young people in the area it seems this has become a meeting spot and parents are aware they are there.
“While we don’t believe these young people were causing any damage, it must be said that the conditions they were in were dangerous.
“Considering recent weather conditions, the steps are slippy and very steep, the river in the area is flowing very quickly, there is no lighting and paths are extremely mucky and the risk of falling is high.”
