Stopped after multiple reports from public
Accused of driving with excess alcohol in breath at John Street on October 29, 33-year-old Michal Jancek from Granville Road admitted the offence at his first appearance in court on Wednesday past.
The court heard how police received mulitple reports from members of the public about a man in a Skoda driving erratically in Dungannon.

Hide AdThey eventually discovered the car in question parked in a car park in the middle of town.
The defendant was then spotted climbing into the driver’s seat and reversing the car.
Police intervened and stopped him from driving away.
He failed a roadside breath test and subsequently provided a breath sample over four times the legal limit.
District Judge John Meehan noted that Jancek had a previous conviction for drink driving in 2010.

Hide Ad“This was a very high reading - appallingly high - and you should really think again about engaging the services of a solicitor,” he told the unrepresented defendant.
“You are at risk of going to prison,” he warned and adjourned the case until December 7.
