Mr Poots and the First Minister agreed that a similar hardship fund should be made to farmers who have contributed daily to our society and have went through a severely tough and almost unbearable time.
Mr Poots praised the Executive for their rapid response, as within three days of meeting with the First Minister the hardship fund had been agreed. Mr Poots also thanked Minister Kennedy for discussing the issue of road gulleys.
“The road gulleys being cleaned out before the thaw was vital to reduce the risk of flooding and the Minister’s co-operation was much appreciated.”
Mr Poots has urged anyone seeking hardship funding to contact his party and their local representative for any help needed.
