Joymount Arms arson attack
ONE of Carrick’s oldest pubs has been extensively damaged in an arson attack.
Police received reports of a blaze at the award-winning Joymount Arms shortly after 2:00am on Monday, with Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service crews immediately responding from Carrick and Whitehead.
Firefighters dealt with a fire in the ground floor, where damage was caused to the central part of the pub, which is over 150-years-old.
