In a statement earlier today a spokesperson for the group said: “This rumour is categorically false. We do not employ this person.”

It reads: ‘Maxine Carr, 38, who provided a false alibi to Ian Huntley after he killed ten-year-old schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002, has already been moved from one address because of the reaction of people living in the area. Well we have her new works address so she must live in that area. This is 100% genuine. Get this out there please this woman deserves no peace. You could also ring her works and tell them you aren’t happy that Starbucks is employing such a subhuman being’.
The post then includes the address and contact telephone number of the branch.
In addition to contacting Starbucks directly, the Sentinel also contacted their head office in England and spoke to senior staff and staff in the human resources department, who have all made it clear, Maxine Carr is not employed by Starbucks.
