Out of Hours Service needs addressed
After lengthy waiting times in recent weeks, Cllr Carla Lockhart said the situation appears to ‘have escalated’ with more complaints concerning the length of time people are having to wait for a call back and for an appointment.
“I recognise the pressure points and the difficulty with staffing but we must work together to try and address this situation,” she said adding that she is due to meet the Chief Executive of the Trust and will be pressing him on what action is being taken to address the problem.

“It is time to work with the Department around other methods of service delivery and around the securing of additional staff,” said Carla, who is standing in the Assembly elections.
“This is a challenge I will personally be taking on if elected to the NI Assembly as I believe in Arlene Foster’s vision for a Health Service that works and one that meets the increasing needs of society.”
