Police praise locals and visitors for ‘positive summer’
Chief Inspector Mark McClarence said: “I would like to thank residents and visitors to the north coast for working well with police over the summer months. While the weather may have been disappointing, the area still attracted hundreds of thousands of summer visitors.
“We worked hard to keep those visitors and residents safe and, by and large, succeeded.

“Crime clearly continues over the summer and issues emerge for police and communities, but we can look back at a generally positive summer for 2015.”
