Pulp Fiction, Luis Suarez and the Magherafelt fast food debate...
Jules: “Le Big-Mac. Ha ha ha ha. What do they call a Whopper?”
Vincent: “I dunno, I didn’t go into Burger King.”
Is it really 20 years since the release of the cult movie Pulp Fiction?

Hide AdIt’s also hard to believe that two decades on from the classic Tarrantino film - which incidentally I watched in the Magherafelt cinema - yes kids there once was a picture-house in town, beside the sadly departed Agnew’s ice-cream shop - that only now, we should be having a debate over which of the two fast food giants should set up shop here, if indeed at all.
Last week, the Mail received well over 100 comments from animated Magherafelt folk on Facebook and Twitter, some of whom outlined in great detail the distinction between the texture of the fries.
There were others, who were outraged that we, as the responsible media should be encouraging such debate on fast food, and that we are in some way endorsing another fast food outlet for the town.
We’re not.
We sit quietly, on the fence and look on in wonder, at the news stories which spark the biggest response.
Anyway, it was all soon overtaken by another furore surrounding what people eat - which begs the question - which meal would Luis Suarez prefer?
