Road safety measures to be installed in vicinity of park
Following a recent incident when a child was struck by a car on Carnmoney Road, Glengormley Councillor Noreen McClelland held a site meeting with representatives from the DRD’s Transport NI unit.
The department has since confirmed that it is to carry out traffic and pedestrian surveys to assess the need for pedestrian crossings.

Transport NI has also vowed to review the collision history of the route with the PSNI to see if there are any other measures that need to be considered.
“I hope that these works will be carried out over the next few weeks and will go some way to improving road safety in the Glengormley area,” Cllr McClelland said.
