Sadness at the passing of local man Ben Ganley
Mr Ganley, who was brought up in London but moved to Banbridge 40 years ago, passed away at Daisy Hill Hospital on Saturday May 13.
Mr Ganley was a Civil Engineer and Contractor who employed many local men. He lived in the Downshire Arms Hotel for about three years and met Winnie

Hide AdRoss. The couple married a year later and lived happily together for 34 years. He was a man of many sterling qualities, with a cheery disposition, who was highly respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was skilled at making rocking horses and was a member of their Guild.
He is survived by his wife Winnie, sons Stephen and Marcus, daughters Sue, Helen, Wendy, Rhoda, stepson Stephen, Stephen’s wife Bridget, stepdaughters Bronagh and husband Neal, Shauna, and husband Chris, brothers Jeff, Philip, Rodney and Dominic, sisters Stella and Cherry, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Father Tony Corr led the funeral service. Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Parkinson’s Disease Society.
