67% NW dementia sufferers undiagnosed
Sixty-seven per cent of people living with dementia in the Western Trust in 2012 were undiagnosed, according to Mr Alan Corry Finn, Director of Older People’s Services.
In 2012 there were 2717 people in the Trust estimated to have dementia, 1830 of these had a diagnosis.
The Trust has launched a new dementia carers guide to help people cope.

“The Western Trust is delighted with the help of the PHA to be able to provide this valuable information to carers.”
