Went to ex-partner’s place of work and gave him abuse

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. Last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court she was given 120 hours community service.

A public prosecutor referred to a statement which showed exactly what Loughran said and on this basis it was considered an offence aggravated by hostility.
She also called the police black b—ds and orange b—ds and made remarks about police being blown up by the IRA. After being told she could not smoke she punched an officer on his flak jacket.
Mr Pat Vernon, defending, said her former partner is a Pakistani who worked in the takeaway. He added that what she said was through frustration because she was having difficulties with him at the time.

Mr Vernon said that by the time police arrived she had lost control and was now embarrassed at what she said. It was a one-off situation where she basically lost control.
