Cricket Club lay down the foundations for the future
The Bannsiders secured the ClubTurf Ulster Cup following an excellent 35-run victory over Waringstown at The Lawn on Sunday.
Team Manager Trevor Harper hailed the achievements of the team.

“This is a tremendous victory for Coleraine and for the North West. Hopefully all the teams can draw inspiration that we can compete with the NCU and LCU.
“We would like to thank everyone past and present who have contributed to our success.”
It completed a tremendous weekend for the club after they beat Strabane by three wickets on Saturday to keep up their charge for the North West Senior League title. Coleraine elected to field first at Strabane Park after Davy Cooke had won the toss and it turned out to be the right decision as the Bannsiders’ bowlers showed their worth again bowling the hosts out for 136.

Hide AdColeraine’s batsmen knew that batting was not going to be easy on this surface and so it proved. After a seemingly comfortable start, five wickets fell in quick succession. However Paul Douglas, Gordon Cooke and Mark Averill steadied the ship to see Coleraine through.
