Difficult ninety minutes for Scarva

THE Junior Cup draw handed Scarva Rangers a tough assignment away to Fermanagh and Western League Division One side Enniskillen Santos.
Santos are former Junior Cup semi-finalists and demonstrated their pedigree with a scintillating display in Saturday’s first round tie.

Scarva’s players deserve credit for not throwing in the towel and Santos had to wait until the final five minutes before adding their fourth and final goal.
The locals were beaten by a better side but player manager Maurice Brown should take comfort from the character and application his players showed for 90 difficult minutes.
Best for Scarva Rangers were goalkeeper Neil Campbell, who made a series of fine saves, and central defender Jonny Sterritt.
