DERRY City may be in hot water with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) after failing to turn up for a major press event today (Thursday).
The FAI held a media day, in Dublin, to promote this weekend’s FAI Ford Cup quarter-finals ties and the cup holders - who play against league champions Sligo Rovers - were the only team who didn’t send a representative of the coaching or playing staff to the launch.
A source close to the FAI said: “Both the FAI & Ford were disappointed by the non attendance of Derry City.
“The matter will be reported to the League Director.”
