‘Everyone must play their role’ says outgoing Chairman Cully
Cully had been Town chairman for around 14 years and has now moved into the role of President following the recent AGM.
“The timing’s right,” he said. “It’s the right thing to do and when Stephen was my vice-chairman, it was always my intention to pass the club into his safe hands.
“I’m delighted that he’s taking it on.

“I don’t want to get in anybody’s way but I’m more than willing to put my shoulder behind it and help. That’s needed. Everybody has to play their part.
“Most clubs are the same. You need a number of workers and I will do all I can to contribute to Stephen and play my part.
Stephen will look at what’s required to compete at our level of football.”

Hide AdRadcliffe, meanwhile, was full of praise for Cully’s work during his tenure in the role:
“Andrew did a wonderful job. He’s a phenomenon in himself. I know the amount of work that he has put in. If I had five of him to sit on the committee, we’d be in good shape.”
