FOOTBALL: Corry Evans signs new contract at Blackburn Rovers
The Newtownabbey native, who is a product of Greenisland FC, has agreed to stay at the Ewood Park club until the summer of 2019.
Evans, 25, told the club’s website: “I’m delighted to get it signed and I’m looking forward to playing here for the next three-and-a-half years.

Hide Ad“From the first minute I walked through the door, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time and I’m looking forward to the future.”
He added: “It’s probably one of the longest spells I’ve been at a club in my professional career, so it does feel like home. I’m really settled where I am and I really enjoy playing here.”
His former club, Greenisland, tweeted: “Well done to Corry on signing a new contract extension with Blackburn Rovers, well deserved.”
