Lurgan teenager signs for Portadown
Barton was released by Aston Villa in June and the wideman has spent the past few weeks training with the Ports.
Ronnie McFall considers the 19-year-old a player capable of adding an extra dimension to his senior panel.

Hide Ad“Josh has been training with us for a while after leaving Aston Villa,” said the Ports boss. “We are delighted to have him on board on a short-term deal and certainly consider Josh a player for our firsts.
“He can play wide left or right and is very quick.”
Barton featured in last season’s NextGen Series final triumph by Aston Villa - a tournament considered the European Cup at youth level - and has previously lined out for County Armagh in the Milk Cup, plus Northern Ireland at schoolboy level in America.
