All-Ireland first for under 19s
The brought home the first ever All-Ireland title to the club on Monday.
The girls, Niamh Ward, Naimh McSherry, Cara Murphy and Katie Allen, as Ulster Champions, travelled to City of Derry Golf Club to face Roscommon in their first match.

Hide AdAll players had to give shots to their opponents so a tough task lay ahead.
Naimh McSherry, who was first out, was conceding five shots to her opponent and at one stage was four holes down but she fought back to take her match to the eighteenth hole before conceding defeat.
Niamh Ward also had to come from behind but in the closing stages of the match played excellent golf to win two up.
Cara Murphy, who was third out, played some stunning golf and her opponent was no match for her as she won 7 and 6.

Hide AdAfter the lunch break, the girls went out to face Tralee, the holders of the All-Ireland Trophy, so the team knew they would be facing a tough game.
Team Captain, Fiona Cummins, played an astute Captain’s card, bringing in Katie Allen as the third player in the afternoon hoping that the shot difference might prove crucial.
The opening stages of the matches were very tight with both teams playing some excellent shots and over the first few holes there was not much in it.
However Niamh Ward, who was first out, played very well and in spite of having to give three shots over the first nine to her opponent, went to the turn ahead. She consolidated her lead to win 4 and 3.

Hide AdCara, out second, had a tougher time in the afternoon, with the lead in this match changing several times.
Katie Allen, third out, started well and was a couple ahead at the turn. Much to the delight of the large support she arrived at the fifteenth four up and she closed out her match for the historic victory and Cara was called in.
The team were presented with the under 19 Cup and pennant by the President of the ILGU, Marjorie McCorduck .
