Berryman and Young fight it
Vice-captain Frank Boyd also played splendidly to score 39 points but had to settle for second place after countback. Norman Martin finished third with 38 points. Ryan McIlmoyle was the overall winner of the competition with Kyle Hunt taking second place and Robert Godfrey third.
Kieran Berryman and Andy Young are now neck and neck at the top of the golfer of the year leaderboard, as it heads into its final week, with both on 104 points.

Hide AdIt’s going to be a nail biting final week for the pair as they must now win maximum points in the club competitions to improve their standings.
Liam Berryman is still well clear of the field occupying third spot on his own with 77 points.
Another busy week at Roe Park Resort saw huge numbers turn out to play in no less than four competitions.
Last Sunday saw a mixed open Greensomes competition sponsored by McAtamneys Butchers. Joan Dallas and Charlie Mearns took the victory with a fine score of 39 points. Runners-up were Treena Boyd and Martin Rafferty with 38 points.

Hide AdThursday saw the start of a two day competition in the form of the professional’s prize stableford sponsored by Shaun Devenney.
Ryan McIlmoyle won the day with an excellent score of 41 points. Kyle Hunt finished second with 39 points and taking third place was Brian Cooper with 38 points.
There was a club stableford on Sunday which was won by Neil Mullan with 41 points.
Eamon Barkley claimed second place with 37 points and Martin Rafferty was third also with 37 points but beaten on countback.

Hide AdThe North West league squad lost their final leg match against Faughan Valley losing five and two at home and they now have gone out of the competition.
