GOLF: Slender lead for Team 14 at Foyle’s Winter League
They maintain a slender two point lead over Team 20 after both teams returned excellent scores of 93 points last week.
Team 20 of Kieran Doherty, Emmet O’Kane, Michael Mullin and John O’Kane currently sit on 366 points.

Hide AdCurrently in third spot on 360 points is Team 17 of Joe Bradley, Kieran Bradley, Steve Moore and Richard McRory, while team 22 of Sean McEleney, Peter Roddy. Martin McEleney and Paul McEleney on 357 points are fourth with team 1 of Eddie Ball, Martin Moran, Kevin McDermott and Charlie McDermott with 356 points in fifth spot.
In the Ladies section of the league after four rounds Team 2 consisting of Myra Gough, Lorna Thompson and Florence Rankin having accumulated 208 points from their four cards move into a twelve point lead over Team 8.
Week five of the Foyle Sunday Society was again blessed with a fine day as the members once again turned out in force, with the inform Ciaran O’Doherty (11) gaining his second podium position of the season with an excellent winning score of 41 points.
Runner up on 39 points was John Lafferty (17) and he held a one point advantage over third placed Gary McElroy (8).
