Mehaffey picking positives out of second-place finish
Mehaffey made the trip to Troon having enjoyed success in the Irish Women’s Open Stroke Play Championship and led for the majority of the event before slipping to second.

“It is important for me to learn as much as possible from every competition, win or lose.
“I would have been more disappointed if I felt mistakes had led to missing out but I do not feel that was the case in Scotland.
“When coming back from glandular fever I had decided to lower my expectations for the first two championships, so to come home first and second is a great return.”
