Kerr picks up awards
The 13-year-old won the Davy Wood Scholarship award at the MCUI awards night, for the most promising short circuit racer last year, the late Mr Wood was former manager of Joey Dunlop and countless other top roadracers.
Kerr also won the John Trevor Steele perpetual cup awarded to the best newcomer to racing, both very prestigious awards with a host of top racers names already on the trophies and considering it’s Richard first season on the tarmac.

Hide AdHe also received his two medals for winning the Ulster and Irish 125 newcomers short circuit championships, this hasn’t gone unnoticed and Richard has been snapped up by well known sponsor Bob Wylie to campaign his 125 Honda in 2014, the team plans an assult on the British championship this year.
