Gleno Village, 1938
This sketch of Gleno Village was also used in Richard Hayward’s travel book ‘In Praise of Ulster’ in 1938.
Lancashire-born Hayward, who moved to Larne as a young child with his family, developed a life-long love of his adopted country. Illustrations by talented artists such as J. Humbert Craig and Raymond Piper brought his books alive for the reading public.
