After building up the history of the club Larry discovered there was another book, which told of the first 40 years of the club, which lay undisclosed somewhere in the clubhouse.
Captain for 1993, Brian McKnight, said he would never forget his memorable year as the Centenary Captain.
“Being fully aware that the greatest honour a golf club can bestow on a member is the captaincy, I feel that such an honour in centenary year is enhanced by the importance of the occasion,” he said.

“The effort required in overcoming these has been one of the factors which has nourished the camaraderie and unity of purpose which are the hallmark of our club.
“I was doubly honoured when council asked me to retain Presidency for a third year to coincide with our centenary.”
