Organisers praise festival supporters
In attendance representing Coleraine Borough Council were Councillors Mark and Phyllis Fielding. In his opening remarks, event organiser, Trevor Harte, stated that this year’s festival had once again attracted players from the whole of N.Ireland with new entries coming from Bangor and Templepartick.
He thanked Mr Clem Howard of Mr Chips in Portrush for once again being the event’s main sponsor. He also expressed his gratitude to Coleraine Borough Council for their continuing financial assistance.

Hide AdCouncillor Fielding, in his remarks stated his delight at this prestigious event was held in Coleraine on an annual basis and that he could see from the faces of all the players that they had enjoyed the four days of competition.
The only local success in the main festival team events was recorded by Sandleford School who won the Junior Team Event. In the individual events Johnny Fulton of Mountfern proved to be a popular winner of the Social Individuals.
In bringing the ceremony to an end, Trevor conveyed his thanks to all the local business’s who participated in the table sponsorship scheme, a scheme superbly organised by John McIlreavy.
